The star of Missing shares her secret for getting top-shelf treatment from guys—and the one person she thinks every woman should date.

Currently you star in Lifetime's Missing, are a panelist on WB's reality show The Starlet, and also produce independent films. Is there any time for romance? |
 Absolutely! |

What's the best date you've ever been on? |
The best date I've ever had, I will never forget. This guy told me, "I have a surprise for you." We went to this hotel. At first, I got really defensive, like, "What the hell kind of surprise are we going to find in a hotel?" But he took me to the penthouse, where he opened the door to the most beautiful view I'd ever seen. He had a chef cook us dinner; the room was filled with candles and roses. At the end of the night, he rubbed my feet, because I'd been working all day, and I fell asleep. Eventually he woke me up and said, "I need to take you home. I watched you sleep, and you looked like a black Betty Boop. So beautiful to me. I hope you will never forget me." And I never have. |

Wow! You should marry that man! |
Well, we'll see...we're still good friends. I am taking my time and getting to know guys this time. |
You were married once, any advice about getting back into the dating game? |
Take your time. Enjoy being by yourself. Date yourself. Everyone always says, "Vivica, who are you dating now?" And I reply, "Well, really, for the past four to five months, I have been dating Vivica. We've been having a lot of fun together, we never argue, and we love to go to the same places." Spend some time by yourself. Don't think that you need to have a boyfriend in order to feel validated as a woman. Validate yourself. Because a man will love and treat you so much better when he knows he can't get over on you. It's taken me forty years to learn that. |
Has dating gotten easier with age? |
So easy. I have all these young guys. I'm like, "I could be your mother." And they're like, "But you're not!" There's a whole tadpoling thing going on: Younger guys are so attracted to older women right now. Forty is the new thirty. And Oprah is showing us that fifty is the new forty. She looks fabulous. |
Have you ever had a bad date? |
I decorated a room with flowers for a guy but he didn't appreciate it. But it's OK—somebody else will. |

Just like Vivica, contributing entertainment journalist Susan Hornik is on the lookout for younger men.
